A Telenovela of European Champions League Final

The UEFA Champions League, known simply as the Champions League, is an annual continental club football competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) since 1992. It replaced the European Champion Clubs' Cup, or simply European Cup, which had run since 1955, adding a group stage to the competition and allowing multiple entrants from certain countries. It is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world and the most prestigious club competition in European football.
Last night or on a wee hour in Indonesia on May 24th 2014, the stage of European football club final battle is held in Lisbon, Portugal. The finalist are 2 club from Spain and came from the same city, they are Real Madrid Football Club (FC) versus Atletico de Madrid FC.

Although I'm not really expect Atletico de Madrid FC can survive and emerge in final stage but I am blown away with the club performances along the Champions League competition and Atletico de Madrid is the winner of Spain Major Football League 2013/2014 known as La Liga. Atletico have a solid team work, staying power, determination and hard working players. Atletico de Madrid is not the type of that worship the ground of their star players, team work is their key and of course they have an excellent ex player turn to be an excellent football manager, Diego Simeone.

As for Atletico de Madrid FC opponent, it doesn't need an introduction, the club as Big as Real Madrid FC, the nick name they earn as one of the biggest, richest and the most successful football club in Champions League is Los Galacticos (The Galaxy Team). Even the world's most expensive football player now Gareth Belle is there with the former world expensive football player also, Cristiano Ronaldo and lots of football star players from around the Globe is in The Galaxy Team.
So, I'm hooked and anticipated how the final showdown will run. Peoples around the world though that the match just like David versus Goliath and they are not wrong to think like that, considering all of the above. The final match is really worth to watched, the high tension, the excitement, the adrenalin rush and last but not least the drama that full of plot in every turn and it really does played the captive audiences emotion through and through. The Supporters of both team on stadium in Lisbon, Portugal or watched via television are full of tension, just like watching Telenovela (maybe like soap opera TV but version Latin American, widely popular).
First you'll thought that after leading in first half until almost the very end, Atletico will be the new winner of Europe Champions League, their defense is decent plus they have a good goal keeper, so although Real Madrid players constant attack they manage to keep their goal area clean and they not afraid to attack back and make Real Madrid defenders very alert. But their dream to become the Champion was cruelly snatched in the last minute goal by Sergio Ramos. So both team had to play the extra time 2 X 15 minutes, in the first half although both team is still attack each other diligently, you'll thought 'OK, Maybe Madrid can win this, they can claim their 10th European Champions Leagues titles (La Decima)' and than firt half extra is gone, the score still 1-1, you'll thought 'Hmmm...Penalty shoot-out will decide the winner, it will be dramatic ending'. Well, dramatic ending it is, because Real Madrid players keep scoring goals before the end of 2nd half extra, they score 3 goals more (total 4-1) including goals from Gareth Belle & Cristiano Ronaldo. So Real Madrid is got their happy ending story in European Champions League Final, their 10th titles.

It was a fun to watched and full of drama football match, like a said just like a Telenovela, full up and down, in the end a happy ending story for the best contender, Real Madrid FC. For me, Real Madrid players number 22, Di Maria & number 15, Carvajal is the heroes, it's like they have 5 pairs of feet, always on the run and never gave up until the end to give their best, it's super ^_^. Good Jobs for both team, thank you for giving us final battle that full of drama. It's OK Atletico, there always next year to try again, keep fighting. Congratulations Real Madrid, La Decima indeed.
